A typical medical exam / consultation / check–up can include: Height / weight check. Blood pressure check , other imaging tests , and blood tests. Your doctor could get rid of the anxieties by navigating the check-up process appropriately.

The Pap smear is a quick and simple test used to check for changes to the cells of the cervix that may lead to cervical cancer. A doctor or nurse takes a sample of cells from the surface of the cervix and sends to the path lab to analyse. Early detection of abnormal cells and the virus causing uterine cancer can prevent the cancer by performing simple procedures.

Check for signs of skin cancer. The sooner a skin cancer is identified and treated, the better your chance of avoiding surgery or, in the case of a serious melanoma or other skin cancer, potential disfigurement or even death. Specially people with fairer skin types who have been exposed to sun burn and when there is a family history of skin cancer should get regular skin checks done.

Liquid nitrogen is nitrogen in a liquid state at an extremely low temperature. It is a colourless. Liquid nitrogen is a cryogenic fluid that can cause rapid freezing on contact with living tissue. We can treat warts, sun damaged skin, age spots and many other conditions with this treatment.

Dietitians use their expertise in food and nutrition to assist you in improving your health and well-being and to prevent and treat disease. Our dietitians are all qualified, accredited and experienced and provide a friendly, supportive, non-judgemental service.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a medical test that detects heart problems by recording the electrical activity of the heart a doctor may recommend an ECG for people who may come up with chest pains or are at risk of heart disease.

A vaccine is a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity to particular infections. We administer the Victorian government funded immunisation program and other immunisations which can be privately funded such as travel immunisations.

The Chronic Disease Management (formerly Enhanced Primary Care or EPC) — GP services on the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) enable GPs to plan and coordinate the health care of patients with chronic medical conditions such as Diabetes, Heart Disease, Different types of arthritis, Chronic pain conditions, Chronic soft tissue disorders, malignant conditions etc, Patients with these conditions who require multidisciplinary, team-based care are managed in our clinic without compromise.

Benign skin lesions are extremely common. They are characterised as a lump of varying sizes either on the surface or below the surface of the skin. They are harmless and do not necessarily need to be removed. However, some people might want to remove them for aesthetic reasons or if they are in an uncomfortable place on the body. Our doctors are qualified and experienced in sorting out conditions like them.

If you suspect you are pregnant, you can get a pregnancy test done by a nurse or doctor.

We plan to offer a complete range of hearing, balance, communication and speech therapy assessments for all ages.

Identify & prevent peripheral arterial disease by getting a Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) screening test. Diabetes, Coronary Vascular Disease and people with multiple risk factors for heart disease can develop peripheral vascular disease leading to dreaded consequences. These can be screened and treated early if diagnosed early by the Doppler test which we do here.

A health assessment is recommended for everyone aged 45-49 who have specific risk factors for developing a chronic disease. These risk factors include smoking, being overweight, high blood pressure or a family history of chronic disease.

The General Practitioner provides most of the antenatal and postnatal care, while the public hospital staffs provide the inpatient and some outpatient obstetric care. We hope to have an accredited shared antenatal care GP that can provide pregnancy care to eligible women across the Monash Health hospitals (Casey, Dandenong and Monash hospitals).

We hope to provide psychological services aimed at improving mental health and quality of life. We provide comprehensive assessments and treatments. Our doctors can help prepare mental health plans so that eligible patients can access Medicare benefits for psychological treatments.

Our podiatrists offer professional care for all foot & ankle conditions, sports injuries, , ingrown toenails and provide quality custom orthotics. All the patients with diabetes should have at least one podiatry assessment per year to prevent diabetes related foot conditions.

Ultrasound can also be used to reduce soft tissue inflammation. The most common conditions treated with ultrasound include soft tissue injuries such as tendonitis (or tendinitis if you prefer), non-acute joint swelling and muscle spasm. Most muscle and ligament injuries can benefit from therapeutic ultrasound.

Exercise physiologists are university qualified allied health professionals who specialise in the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of disease and injury.

Wound care nurses at Medihouse specialise in treating chronic wounds. They will assess your wound and discuss a treatment or management plan with you. They can also change your wound dressings and check the wound to make sure it is healing. We use state of the art dressings to manage wounds enabling fast recovery.

Surgery to remove an ingrowing toenail should take away infection and pain. Our doctors can provide wedge resection of ingrowing toenails at Medihouse clinics.

We provide a range of services related to boys’ and men’s health issues e.g. prostate checks. We advise on erectile dysfunction and hair loss as well.

Spirometry (spy-ROM-uh-tree) is a common office test used to assess how well your lungs work by measuring how much air you inhale, how much you exhale and how quickly you exhale. This is done to diagnose, assess and monitor Asthma, COPD and other lung diseases.
